Today, we can confirm that both variants, VX and VXR, are officially shut down, according to the latest Buck News for dealers in the country. Unlike the alternative VX, Mehran VXR will continue manufacturing until the end of March 2019 and will be fully closed in April next year.
The circular, which lists the Company’s production plan for the following year, as well as other elements of its suppliers, is presented below:
Discontinuation Suzuki Mehran VX Notification
The company will produce 23,821 units of Mehran (VX and VXR) between September 2018 and April 2019, but these units will be the last units to be produced. Suzuki ordered all agents to prepare only parts of the car to avoid excess.
Suzuki Mehran ruled the car market in the country for more than 30 years and was among the best sellers of the time. As the company faces significant competitive pressures in the near future, it may need to make reasonable changes to remain relevant in the coming years.
